Ladies/Gentlemen. It has been some time since we originally asked for donations to help with the running costs of the FC website and forum and in fact it was way back in March 2006! Anyway, thanks to a terrific response we had donations in from about 20% of the membership at that time, which meant that running costs would not be a problem for some time. However, since that time we have had a LOT of new members, several of which have since asked how to donate and I am not sure if we have always replied due to lack of time/resource?

Also and more importantly, as a lot of the original funding has been spent on the web hosting, it is time to ask again for your help before current funds run dry, although this time, there IS a difference, where both sides win!

In partnership with Gill Howie and Berry at Squadron Prints (to whom we must give our enormous thanks!), we have a NEW initiative, as follows;

We give a free FC car sticker AND a free FC Key Fob to anyone who donates up to £5 towards the running costs of FC.


We give a free FC car sticker and a free FC key fob and a free FC patch to anyone who donates up to £12.50 .

We give a free FC car sticker, free FC keychain and a free FC patch, PLUS a free unsigned Squadron Print of their choice to anyone who donates £12.50 and over.


UPDATE: 1. PLEASE NOTE: THE FREE SQUADRON PRINT WILL BE FOR THE FIRST 50 SPONSORS ONLY, SO BE QUICK! 2. UNFORTUNATELY WE HAVE HAD TO REVISE THE DONATION AMOUNTS SLIGHTLY, DUE TO THE COSTS OF THE FREEBIES, SO PLEASE SEE ABOVE.

So, there is now no better way of donating £12.50 towards the cost of running YOUR website and forum, as you receive some goodies in return, which come quite close to the purchase price of these items anyway. PLEASE NOTE: This is a NEW donation drive and therefore anyone who has donated money previously is NOT entitled to any of the above, with the exception of the two/three people who have made donations in the past few weeks - I will be contacting you. At present we have good stocks of everything but at present it will be ONLY until stocks last. As someone has already said, "Brand New Customers Only"!


We will be posting out the freebies to sponsors but to also save on having your Squadron Print posted, Gill and I have also come up with the idea of them being collected by sponsors at the Squadron Prints stand at Waddington airshow, RIAT Fairford and Leuchars. Basically I will give Gill a list of the first 50 names and usernames, together with a unique receipt number (which I will e-mail to sponsors once I receive donations) and then she and her team can issue the free Squadron Print of your choice at these shows.

Also put your full name (plus your forum username, so we can identify you on the forum - see further down in this post why!) on the back of the cheque and also write on the back of the cheque, that it is for 'FUNDS'. If you do this, we can keep an accurate record in our annual accounts of who has paid. As we are only asking for/suggesting donations, we have NOT set a specific annual fee, or amount required, just please send whatever you wish and we will use ALL donations to pay for the costs of running the forum and website. I also appreciate that not everyone can send a cheque and we can also obviously accept a cash payment, should anyone wish to drop cash into us, or pop it through our door, when they are nearby. If you do this, enusre that you put it in an envelope with details on, so we know who it is from!

THERE ARE LOADS TO CHOSE FROM AND REMEMBER - IT IS YOUR CHOICE BUT THEY HAVE TO BE UNSIGNED ONES. Take a look at the Squadron Prints link above and see. Anyway, here is what you now need to do, should you wish to contribute;

For those who wish to make a donation, please do the following; Send a cheque made payable to 'Fighter Control Group' for whatever amount you wish to contribute towards our Fighter Control Trust Fund and post to;

One excellent idea sent in to us was to ask if those who make a donation could be shown on the forum in a different way, such as 'FC sponsor', or something similar, which seemed a good way of at least recognising those who were assisting us in keeping the forum running. We set this up and once we receive donations, I can change your profile to show you as an 'FC sponsor', as it is a nice way of showing our appreciation and recognises those who help?
