Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2023 General Discussion Thread

I went thu/fri/sat. Thurs was very good, well worth the wait until 7 to see the F-4 arrive. Friday I gave up at 1 and returned to the hotel to watch Wimbledon, Thoroughly enjoyed the saturday show, in the C,P. by 6.45 and in the showground by 8.30, so not to bad. Awesome dislays by the Belgian FI6 ...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2023 General Discussion Thread

Interesting that the U.S. Navy and Indian Air Force are showing ongoing.
How many more Thursday's will they be using for announcements. Will it go right up to the 6th July.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2023 General Discussion Thread

The Tanker flypasts look set to be fantastic, and spread over all three days.
Agree that the up and coming USAF updates will reveal more super additions.
Well done RIAT, keep em coming.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2023 General Discussion Thread

Reading in Flypast that two Starfighters from Starfighters Aerospace are being sent over from the USA for the Italian 100th Anniversary airshow at Pratica di Mare. Quoted as already on their way shipbound to Europe. Show is on 16-18th June. Wonder if there is any chance of them making an appearance ...

Lets start with a big one. why not confirm the F22 team as the opener, that would be excellent. (I can dream) :D

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2023 General Discussion Thread

I always went to the show on the Sunday, way before the Friday flying was introduced. Always watched the feedback from those that went and it seems 50/50 and definitely an individual preference on why you would choose to do so. I decided to try out the Friday show last year for the first time. I nor...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2023 General Discussion Thread

The 2023 dates have been posted by Flightline UK on Twitter. Very sketchy as it doesn't disclose the Aircraft type committed but does leave a space during the RIAT weekend for a Overseas Show.
Fingers crossed for some more solid and positive news in the spring.

Re: Farnborough confirmed for July 2022(Trade only)

Looks like the Flying element of the show has been scaled back further this year, maybe tougher rules due to the ever encroaching hosing going up all around the immediate area of the airfield. There are quite a few items now going live on the FIA website including the Black Eagles performing a Flypa...

Re: Arrival timings

That's very helpful, many thanks guys.
Think I saw listed that the Swedish items are arriving on Friday so it would be nice to know in advance when these were coming in. If they still produce a timing sheet that would be fantastic.

Re: Arrival timings

On the same issue of arrival timing, I am going in this year for the first time on Friday. is there advance warning of arrivals or are they announced as they enter the circuit. Also, is there a specific time that they come in, ie, Morning or afternoon. Would be helpful if someone who has been in on ...

Hear Hear, yes Snoop55, Totally agree with you and James. Spent a couple of days this week up at Lakenheath and it was fantastic to hear the roar of the jets. Plenty of photos taken and a nice lot of evenings of editing ahead. Just to have the show in the current climate of uncertainty is a huge ach...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2022 - General Discussion Thread

Looking at the timing for the next confirmation of confirmed aircraft from DBH. As it's going to be Thursday, I wonder if the RAF will select RIAT to rerun parts of the flypast as they did in 2018. only the weather stopped Fairford getting some sizable formations that flew down the Mall. It's lookin...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2022 - General Discussion Thread

The Jordanian Falcons make a good effort to attend IAT/ RIAT every year, not everyone's cup of tea, but very talented pilots who I've seen display at many airshows around Europe over the years and to be fair in pretty crap weather occasionally and that's not an easy thing in a Extra . I've met a co...

I for one am being optimistic about next year. Yes I have booked tickets, they were carried over from the last two as I gave my support where it was needed. I have also rolled over and booked my Camping pitch as local businesses also need our help. If I want to to be pessimistic I keep it to myself ...

Re: Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow 2021 - September 18th & 19th

After the requirements listed it goes on to say; " Please note that you only need to bring with you ONE of the above forms of evidence of being low Covid risk". it also says children aged 17 and younger are not required to provide evidence to gain access to the site. Hope that helps. Looking forward...
