Re: Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centre

She's been butchered I'm afraid, several sections taken by road to South Wales Aviation Museum. Murder most Horrid for what was a beautiful, graceful aircraft.

Re: RIAT (wet) Friday

Oh to have been there, well done on such a wonderful shot and for being brave enough to risk wrecking your camera. (I had a fall into the sea last year and wrote my camera off, so am now purely a 'fair weather' photographer!)

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2023 General Discussion Thread

It's such a shame, the dratted British weather strikes again. Bought Friday and Saturday tickets plus mobility scooter hire for both days, but at the mo we are sat eating ice creams in a lovely warm and dry Ice Cream Parlour in Cirencester instead and already thinking of next year's event.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2023 General Discussion Thread

What do you deem as 'very early arrival' please? Pre opening of the P+V or will we have had chance for a warming brew before it comes in?

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2023 General Discussion Thread

I'm blue badged and have to walk with a rollator (zimmer frame on wheels with seat). Have been to P+V West on fly in days (Weds and Thurs) for several years. There has never been any problem parking, though we do arrive at crack of dawn. What we do, once parked up is I walk with my rollator tp the e...

Parking at 27

The police have moved all vehicles that were parked up out the way on the grass/footpath along the main road, with advice that 'Gloucester constabulary' will be issuing tickets to anyone who parks there. Also, we heard a quarry lorry driver complain to the officer about the vehicles parked down the ...

As P+V is sold out for all three days, will there be any tickets held back to buy on a first come, first serve basis as in previous years please?

Typhoon display?

Just been watching a Typhoon display over Yeovilton, just wondering if it's for anything in particular or maybe the don't realise there's no Air Day yet again this year. It was lovely to haves some proper jet noise overhead again.

Re: BT landline to go by 2025

At the risk of appearing totally stupid, I have no 'technical' idea or grasp of how things work. We have zero mobile phone coverage at home and rely solely on our landline for connection to everyone,. This is the first I've heard about BT landline service being withdrawn and am somewhat concerned.

Spectacles found

Silver coloured metal rimmed spectacles found by the fence in the viewing enclosure carpark this morning (Tuesday 1st Feb) just before the B1 flyby. Have hung them on the fence by 8th post down. If anyone has lost them, at the moment they look intact.
