I did see an episode of Top Gear with "Joey" from Friends in a chase car behind a U2 (NASA markings I think ?) talking the aircraft down....not sure how true/realistic the comms were bearing in mind...

Re: The Leaning Hercules of Mildenhall!

Hi Guys, Proteus you are dead right !!!....Whilst being towed ,one tyre blew and damaged/took out the other !! Expecting a specialist jack that Mildenhall doesn't currently have - upside is every aircraft Tower side had to taxi past the Fire Dept (I have a great view) and back down the runway for a ...

Re: RAF LAKENHEATH : Parking & Litter Complaints

Paddyboy, You know that we are all behind you and your comments, lets hope we can educate those who visit and hopefully keep things clean. I know it might sound dramatic , but a single piece of unwanted litter that strays the wrong side of the fence can cause all sorts of issues to aircraft - 30 sec...

Re: "John's Field" Site Rules

John, 100% name and shame...not sure what forum rules state but I would post a picture of the "offenders" on here, I'm sure most people with smartphones would happily help ...just the thought of someone getting hurt by those that wont obey the site speed limit makes me go cold, especially the youngs...

Re: RAF LAKENHEATH : Parking & Litter Complaints

Hi Guys,
So there is a thread about Litter louts at Lakenheath and another regarding speeding etc in John's field over here at Midenhall , surely this cant be regulars can it ? Old cliche about "wonder what their homes are like?" comes to mind....sad state of affairs to be honest.
