Re: RAF Cosford Air Show 2025

Got that....but they've had 12 months notice of the show and the deployment. Someone had better tell any potential aggressor that we can't play today as we're not ready.

That and the fact we have a 10 minute " Interlude"

Apache cancelled

Some trains cancelled too after the show. Bus replacement provided
Which, given Cosford's usual traffic issues, sort of defeats the object really

Re: RAF Cosford Air Show 2025

Gutted for those attending on Sunday, but the Polish F16 and Typhoon will be a great Fast Jet Fix.
If you are going, watch the Swiss PC7 Team. Magnificent from Start to Finish!

Re: Defence Spending

Crimea has always been Russian since it was won from the Ottoman Turks. Ukraine never had any legitimate title to it. With its CIA coup in Kiev, the US was responsible for starting this war and so it should also be responsible for stopping it. Let us hope that President Trump is successful in this ...

Re: Defence Spending

The UK, unlike the current administration across the pond, tries to keep it's promises. However, I certainly agree that there are many examples in the aid budget which are not productive, either in terms of actual positive effects on the ground or in the development of soft power. Thank you for agr...

Re: RIAT 2024 - Awards

Subjective and I agree with most of them, but the best Fast Jet to the Canadian? Not for me. It has to be between the F15QA and the Danish F16 and as good as the Canadian paint scheme is, I thought the Dane pipped that as well....You might have noticed, I quite like the Danish F16

Re: Upgrade to mirrorless or full frame?

Went down the same route out of a 90D just over 12 months ago, of which I had 2 dodgy copies....Inconsistent AF and off centre AF with the first. Enough was enough. Took the plunge as a retirement treat. R6 Mkii, and a 100-500L. A total game changer! Yes it's a jump in tech, yes it loses "reach" but...

Re: LP-E6 batteries.

Always bought non OEM batteries, but changed to an R6ii last year and the old ones won't run the electronic shutter. I spend £2.5K plus on a new camera and baulk at a £100 battery🙄. Anyway bought 2 Neewer LP-E6NH and so far they work in all modes. Not sure they last quite as long as the Canon batter...

Re: Harriers left AMARC

Shame, we should have asked for them back, Anything better than the F-35?!?!?…… You're right, there isn't anything better than the F-35. That's why everyone who can is buying it. But not necessarily the B model we've signed up for. Maybe we should re-examine the model mix, a bit like we did with th...
