Air Tanker have an exclusive agreement with the MOD until, I believe, 2035 by which time I understand the aircraft will be reaching their fatigue limits.

Steve, I have approved the posts, I have also merged the KC46 posts into the KC46 thread, https://www.fightercontrol.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=287&t=196040. With regards to the others the OTT/Heads up is not the correct place so I have moved them to the fighter control mess https://www.fightercont...

Re: Stansted May 2025
There should be a UAE C-17 in tomorrow 15:45 possibly reg 1223. There is also a rumour that the Maximux AN-124 might visit lunchtime tomorrow from the UAE as well. Sometimes they are classified as military. But, what's the betting it turns into another UAE C17? :S Could this be helicopter arrival d...

Re: LN Strike Eagles going home
I believe October is the end or start of the new financial year for the US Military. More likely to be connected to that than anything else.NorfolkNomad wrote: ↑Sat May 31, 2025 6:51 amThere is going to be a large reduction of civilian staff at Lakenheath this October, could this possibly be a knock on effect?

Re: Air Force Elite Thunderbirds
Spectacular flying and the Thunderbirds do not go hand in hand. The dullest fast jet team in existence. The flying is without a doubt spectacular, possibly not visually but certainly in precision. They explain at one point in the performance the leader is flying the Jet into the ground and the only...

Re: Air Force Elite Thunderbirds
I have just watched it, for my money its a good watch and shows a lot of the behind the scenes. There is a lot of background on the pilots and the impact that it has on their family life. there is also a lot of the spectacular flying.

US accepts gifted Qatari plane to join Air Force One fleet https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cq855lx87z3o
