Re: Herc 317 Cambridge April 77?

Confirm it was the Kuwait one...I was working at Marshalls then and used to keep a daily log. It arrived on Friday 1/4/77, test flew Wednesday 13/4 after being worked on, I don't have a date for it leaving but it would have been soon afterwards. I wonder if the BARG date at Brize may be a few days a...

FS: Demo Flight Team/Horsemen patches

Hi all; On offer are these three patches, I'll never use them so they need to go. We have Air Force Demo Team Heritage Flight featuring the P-51/F-22/F-35 and F-16, Horsemen Flight Team and one of the F-86. All velcro mounted and measuring about 4-5 inches size. I'll leave them on offer here for a c...

I was passing Marham this afternoon at 1430, a single F-35 was circuit bashing. Any offers?

Re: Daks over Normandy: 2-5 June 2019@Duxford

I very much doubt Cambridge as they have weekend closures at the moment due to ATC staffing problems...unless of course some aircraft are planning to arrive there by the Friday, then relocate to DX on Monday.

Take cash as last year was only one cash machine and took forever to dispense money as none of the food stalls takes cards
Also IIRC the cash machines there make a charge...better to get some cashback from your local supermarket where it's free.

Austrian AB212 at Cambridge July 1988

Not strictly a serial tie-up request, as I know which one it was....on 25/7/88 I logged 5D-HA at Cambridge; but purely out of interest, would anyone know what it was doing there? The Gotech site states that it had trials with some kind of turret installation, were Marshalls involved in this? Ta in a...

Re: Flying Legends Departures

It's 50/50 really...depends on the operator and their other commitments. For instance, this last show, the Swiss Dak and Beeches landed at Cambridge off their Sunday display for fuel and customs, then naffed off home. Red Bull stayed around the following week as they were exhibiting at Farnborough. ...

Lakenheath F-18 and F-22 Thursday 11/10

Hi all, On my way to Mildenhall for the Greyhounds last Thursday, called in at Lakenheath and just as I was arriving in the area at about 1250, an F-22 returned with an F-18. Didn't get to the runways end in time to catch them, does any kind soul have the serials? They did a couple of circuits befor...

Re: LOG 24/07/18 7am to 12am

Does anyone have serials for the two AV's that landed just after noon local time? I was approaching the base in the car and clocked them landing but not quite quick enough to catch them.

Ta in advance... :thumb:

Perhaps a quick call to RAF Odiham and the boys down there could have provided a Chinook to lift it straight over onto the field without causing all the inconvenience to all the road users :grr: So the RAF have helicopters on standby every Sunday afternoon during the airshow season just in case an ...

Just watched it on youtube. Is that really what they sound like? Fantastic stuff! Indeed it is! All except the German ones - I was on a spotting trip with some mates in the late '70s and we noticed that the Luftwaffe 104's didn't howl...our curiosity was raised so on a base visit we asked our host ...

"Denmark has officially agreed to buy 27 F-35A Joint Strike Fighters to replace its fleet of aging F-16s.
