When did VMFA’s start operating mixed C/D units, never seen that before? For sometime (2-3 years). Can't find the article. But due to lack of Ds, because some are needed for training I believe. Cs are added to some VMFA units. As Cs are available in larger numbers as also ex-USN are available. Nice...
