Kings Birthday Flypast 14-06-2025 from Essex
Some of mine from yesterday's flypast taken at Marks Tey, Essex. The helicopters and Lancaster joined much further south so I didn't photograph them although I saw the Lancaster in the far distance, here we go in appearance order: the Phenom and Texans were a bit spread out so there was a lot of sky...

BBMF Spitfire TE311 at Old Warden - Mark Long tribute scheme
an excellent tribute by the BBMF to Squadron Leader Mark Long who was killed flying a BBMF Spitfire last year, the starboard side wears the code L-NG with the roundel between the L and the N to spell LONG. Well thought out! The aircraft opened the display at Old Warden yesterday for their season pre...

Re: April 2025 Photo Competion

Duxford Airspace reorganisation 11-04-2025
I pooped into Duxdord on Friday on my way home from Lakenheath mainly to get pics of the Avro York which is now outside in the sunshine (pics on my flickr page). I Then went inside the Airspace hangar which has been cleared somewhat since my visit two weeks ago and several exhibits are now photograp...

Re: Puma farewell tour at Duxford , 27-03-2025
Thanks for the comments guys.
I couldn't get all three in my shot when they were side on Pete so I just hoped for getting light on them as rhey were going away. The second worked better than the first (in my opinion anyway!)

Re: Registration suspended
I turned it off again yesterday as in the previous 48 hours I had a surge in applications from slammers which take ages to check through and ban. Something I currently don't have time to do sorry

Possibly not - the late Mike Branford was co-Admin. Following his recent passing, Andy (user-andygolfer) posted this as part of a post. I hope he won't mind me quoting it here: "...I will be doing what admin i can but Mike was far more knowledgeable than me so there may be instances where things do...

Re: Canon EF100-400 Mk1 Lens cleaning & service
Hello Tim Not knowing where you live, there is or was a place that I used a few years ago on the edge of Colchester that gave a good service for cleaning and repairing Canon equipment. Steve That was Colchester Camera Centre on the Severalls Business Park , they were excellent but unfortunately the...

Some of you may be aware that Mike and I are the co-admins on Civilian Aviation the civilian counterpart of FC and are thus very good friends. I'm very sorry to have to inform you that I had a call from Mike's wife Sandie earlier this morning to say that Mike died in his sleep during Monday night. S...

Duxford BoB airshow, 14th September (saturday)
These are some of my photos taken at the Saturday airshow of the Duxford Battle of Britain weekend. They were taken from Duxford village, some in the Brewery field Park and the remainder from the Community Centre football field. The heat haze was a bit of a sod but better than rain! an appropriate o...

many thanks Terry, I'm pleased you liked them.
I actually enjoyed Totterdown more than the Monday departures for photography as there were countless variations in the angles and aspects.
