Thought I heard an Osprey in the area. Did any land at Fairford? Thanks. There is an Osprey, as it flew over me heading south west, then about 30 mins later, came back over heading north east towards Fairford, that was about 15 mins ago? Just to add, I didn't see if it went into Fairford and not on...

Certainly woke me & the Mrs just after 6:20! Looked out the window for it, just as it shut off the power. Didn't see it though :-(

Anyone any idea if the other one is out of the hangar and due out in this NOTAM??

Argh. My notifications for new posts on the Fairford hasn't been working for some reason and missed the U2's coming in I only looked as I thought I heard something leave about 30 mins ago...

Ah ha, found the NOTAM. Is there any way to narrow down the arrival time with any sort of tracking? It's just I'd love to see one come in and it's only 15 minutes from me, but I don't have time to be there for the whole window of the NOTAM?

I saw, from a distance, perhaps a KC10 and 3x F35's fly out of Fairford about mid-day today?

I must be about 6 or 7 miles away as the crow flies and I can hear it, so must be so loud for the locals! I worry about talking too loud at night when I come back from the pub

Why do it so late at night?

I'm a few miles from the airfield, but been hearing lots of engine noise for the last 15 mins or so. Is it coming from Fairford?

Yeah, the 'heads up' page is good, but I fear I may become addicted...

I was going to pop along to Fairford to catch a glimpse of a U2 as I've not seen one for years, but I've just read they hide them away in hangars... So guess I'm not going to see anything?
