Re: Cosford Air Show 2024
I still do want to do Cosford again, but nothing jumps out at me so far. Seems like a copy/paste of last years so far.
I have looked at hotels and I could do it if something big is announced. But they do need to up their game.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread
Always enjoy the Gripen, not too bothered by the NH90 but excited to see the Alize, never seen one so it will be nice to see it arrive on the Friday along with a few F16s already said to be arriving Friday

Re: Cosford Air Show 2024
I have a bad feeling they are going to stretch out theser RAF announcements to one a week. Next week Red Arrows following week Typhoon then Chinook then Falcons then possible Tutor. Really makes me feel they are very thin on displays this year if they are having to drip feed the RAF displays one by ...

Re: FRIAT 2024
I do think this came up a few years back and the answer was it is an add-on rather than part of every ticket so as they can let the bus company know in advance how many to expect and gives them a rough idea of how many buses were needed in advance. If I was there, I'd ask why there is no shuttlebus ...

Re: FRIAT 2024
My 2 guesses 3) What's going on with American demos not coming to RIAT? (even though its been asked and answered 20x times) 4) What is the real story behind Argentina last year? I do hope someone asks about Security preperations this year. Last year on the Saturday it seemed like they were headless ...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread
The Gnats have been very rarely seen since the tragic events of 2015. There have been static appearances, and very few flying displays - Duxford in 2018 and Midlands in 2019 are the most recent public displays I can think of. They do however still keep the two Gnats flying regularly, though it seem...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread
The Red Arrows will be performing their full flying display on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. We hope to include the team in a number of special formation flypasts at RIAT 2024, but details of these will not be confirmed until much closer to the show. Putting two and two together: https://www.fighterco...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread
Nice update. Not too bothered by the Reds or Typhoon but am interested to see what flypasts with other Aircraft the Reds will have. I actually have come to prefer those flypasts to the display.
BBMF with 4 fighters is great, and finally a role demo of the F35. 2 Great additions.

Re: Cosford Air Show 2024
I do really want to support Cosford, and while the displays are all good so far, there is nothing making me jump out of my seat to buy tickets. I can see all of those at a free sea-side show. Cosford no longer really caters to us, it's main target is families who only care about the Red Arrows or th...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread
From memory the Snowbirds Tutor doesn’t have the range. So it’s logistics impossible even to island hop. Too expensive to ship them, talk of them coming back in 2018 ish. There was talk somewhere they can’t use ferry tanks? They mange to get across Canada and to US shows so not sure how much truth ...
