The above C-2 greyhound is showing on the ground at Prestwick, just back from a trip to the east.

Mixed formation of helos Pembrokeshire

Apologies if this is not the correct place to post this. Please move/remove if appropriate. Yesterday, 22 February 2024, a flight of 7 helos comprising, I think, 3 Merlins (RN), 2 Wildcats (RN) and 2 Chinooks dropped into Haverfordwest airfield to refuel. Late afternoon. No serials available. They a...

Re: Very late night flying

It may be related to the level of darkness at this time of year and the need, for whatever reason, to be keeping night flying up to standard.

French over CM this past week?

I gather that Rafales(?) have been working the range day and night this week. Anyone able to add to this?

Thanks for t letting us know. So it was him who had the enviable job! If I had known he lived near Brawdy, I would have delighted in meeting him when visiting "home" in PD.

Castlemartin and Manorbier - typo Manobier

Would be great if the typo in the title of the "Castlemartin and Manobier" forum in Ranges could be amended to read "Castlemartin and Manorbier". Sad, I know, but it has finally got to me! Many thanks in anticipation.

Fast Jets on Castlemartin

Fast Jets operating over CM now. Not seen, but heard from my location 5 miles north. Medium level? Firing notice for next three weeks is unusual in that range is closed to public for mon to Thurs nights each week. Any notams?

Not sure about the Mustang, but it seemed to pop in to Brawdy a few times and alos took part in at least one of the airshows, I think.

Thanks for the comments all.

Re: Phabulous Phantom Phinale part 1

Back stage at The Hall about 5 minutes after landing? Not a clue really except for the Swiss Hunter and the wooden pole!! I had a copy of the Phantom Phinale VHS - but had it nicked! Can you still get copies? My favourite aircraft, especially watching night launches at Wattisham and Night Flash Phot...
