Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 General Discussion Thread

There was a Mirage 2000 at a Waddington Show and a Leuchars show, on both occasions I'm sure it was airframe '215'

Re: First scam of Christmas?

I was nearly caught out a few years back by the "sorry we missed you, for your delivery" scam a few years back. The link just showed as this > tap this link here format. So like others I was not expecting a delivery, so I right clicked on the here and copied the link address, I went over to office w...

Re: USAF EA-37B Updates

But now the query - I have since read another version of the above, that suggests that N518GA and N522GD are not part of the USAF order, and are going somewhere else instead? Does anyone have any further information on this, or, even better, any clue on what the IDs of the missing 3 airframes might...

I've used HDEW before, they even arranged for the delivery to arrive on a specific day for me due to work. Can't fault them TBH.

Re: Belgian Air Force Days 9th & 10th September 2023

I went through Brussels airport yesterday to meet up with overs going to KB. The passport control was an absolute sh!tshow with one guy processing nearly 200 visitors, it increased after quite a few arguements between passengers and staff, the cops had to step in a few times. Eventually 5 staff proc...

Re: Summer downtime?

The period of "block leave" for the majority of the camp has been discontinued for a few years now. However there will be 'flying limits'. Depending on the displaying aircraft on Families day, some might depart right after the event finishes, some might depart they day after, where some have been kn...

Re: RAF squadron suffixes

I know a chap who was on the Army side of things as V (AC) Sqn was forming up on the Sentinel at Waddington. He said that the Generals were not very happy with the RAF's Roman numeral squadron numbering as V stood for 'volunteer' in the Army not as number 5!
