Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 General Discussion Thread

What do you need cleared up? FRIAT Hint Announcement - I have no idea what that is. Also as a general rule I am really struggling with the Headsup section of late - quite often there is no mention of aircraft type and just presumed that everyone is in the know, but some of us are not. A big fan of ...

Bwlch Carpark/laybay Closed?

Hi all, planning to visit the loop again tomorrow but I've heard parking at Bwlch is closed due to roadworks?
Can anybody verify please?

Thanks,

Re: 2024 Typhoon Display Jet

Interestingly in the video, he displayed over what would be the crowd at an airshow for a lot of it. I assume they'll have to tighten that up and move all of those parts away from the crowd line. Have you misunderstood where the crowd line was? I'm pretty sure they know what they are doing re crowd...

Re: 2024 Typhoon Display Jet

Edit: looking back on the photos now, the ones on the wings look fine, its the fuselage as thunder stated, especially in this shot: https://media.licdn.com/dms/image/D4E10AQGcB6mGMr4ibw/image-shrink_1280/0/1713800490090?e=1714561200&v=beta&t=4FGpH7v1J7cRYUysfOVcSUwpgBGBn6LyPNMeHJUL8kk I agree. Re: British F-35Bs To Bring Vertical Landing Abilities To Highways

You just have to look at the amount of and size of the aircraft to support 4 Typhoons to any given NATO exercise. It takes weeks to plan then deploy all the support before you even think of getting the jets out there. Then you have to factor in the support to support the support, it all adds up. Re...

Re: RAF Cosford Airshow 2023

I got shot down for saying it before, but nobody actually explained why it isn't possible. What it stopping F15's and F35's from Lakenheath taking part? They have dozens of jets. Same goes for aircraft from Mildenhall. If the RAF seemingly only want to give minimal aircraft for thier own airshow, wh...

Re: RAF Cosford Airshow 2023

I really hope they've learnt from the backlash last year re limited flying aircraft. There was no excuse really when we have two big US bases with aircraft flying daily, dozens of civil warbirds and teams, and even contractors like HHA all in the UK. If the RAF wasn't willing to put assets on displa...

Re: RAF Cosford Air Show 2022

With a month to go do we think the flying list will expand much? There isn't even much RAF stuff this year, which is odd as it's RAF organised... Would love to see the A-400 or the Rivet Joint.
