Re: Nikon D7500

With my old DSLRs I switched between aperture and shutter priority depending on what I was shooting. Now with the mirrorless I'm more often in manual with auto ISO. The noise control in the Sony is very good even with twilight shots. The denoise in Lightroom helps when the ISO gets in the higher ran...

Re: Canon RF 100-500mm f4.5-7.1

I've seen some images off the 200-800 and they look superb so don't discount it as an option unless you feel 200mm is too restrictive at the short end.
I use Sony with a 200-600 and there are occasions where I can't pull back far enough but I cover that with a smaller lens on another body.

I can see why folks do this by mistake given all CW stuff was on one page in a dedicated folder, they are used to using a single location for all exercise stuff.

Re: Photoshop - Lightroom or what other software for better results

I ended up getting the Adobe Stock, Photography monthly plan but will ditch stock if its not my bag before the free trial ends :D :thumb: yeah storage is a costly thing nowadays and I'm thinking of getting another 14TB WD HDD before the prices go up again, one is not enough when saving pictures and...

Re: Cobra Warrior 25-1

Just to put things in perspective, spent today at 02 end. Used Black Cat Travel. Excellent service, dropped off at the layby and collected within 10mins of calling for the return trip and money going to a good cause. No litter, no grief, no one tramping across the fields. A very relaxing day had wit...

Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.

Niall,

On Thursday one Typhoon did a performance dept around 13:30, no tanks direct to Coningsby as Lossie 52. ADSBExchange suggests it was ZK347.

Given that 162161 is still on the ground at PIK I doubt that it is going to make a return trip to SVG in the next hour. FR24 is showing a load of rubbish re aircraft off the HST - see the F-18s that were supposed to turn up yesterday but didn't. I said I'd believe the F18 info when I saw them on ap...

Apologies All.
Have been offline since 20/10/24 due to personal circumstances.
Will try and do a retro log for the days missed.

Have a good day everyone

Christian
We missed you. Everyone has days off, we can't expect 24/7/365 coverage.

Re: Lens / camera body calibration

When I had DSLRs, I did them myself. Bought a cheap target off Ebay and set in the back garden. On one body, the 200-500 needed -3 adjustment but the other one needed -13. Zoom lenses were difficult as the body could only use one setting and sometimes a zoom needs different adjustment at different f...
