Re: Upgrade to mirrorless or full frame?
Nice camera Canon make good cameras, not as good as Nikon but good enough for aviation photography :P :D I read an article on line that suggested Sony make the best mirrorless / Electronic Shutter cameras because they don't need the mechanical expertise built up by Nikon and Canon to construct the ...

Re: Head Spinning - Newbie DSLR Purchase
Agree with D7100/D7200 starter. Also consider the Nikon 18-140 which is a good lens and gives a bit more overlap with a 70-300.

Hi Pete, a fella who works on the ranges so I'd hope he'd be correct as he will be working the traffic.

Re: Why not base them here ?
Allegedly it'll be busier on base from September, but what that actually entails is anyone's guess... Well, we're 66.666' % through September & 4 x Noggie F-35 (now gone) 2 x Alpha-Jets & a single A-4 don't constitute 'BUSY' imo. Still might get something (other than S**t weather) in the next 10 da...

Seahornet1 Memory is rather hazy now but, father was crossing the A15 early one morning in 1992, having taken shots of a Sentry departing. Someone decided they were not going to stop at the traffic lights.... Having ran the lights he hit Dad, which from memory knocked him 60ft down the road. He suf...

Re: Tele-zooms for Nikon
Well many thanks guys for all the helpful and useful information, very much appreciated. I think I have enough now to go away and have a long hard think about. My nearest camera shop (Skears Photographic in Northampton) does stock most Nikon tele lenses - new as well as used - so I will pay them a ...

Re: Route Into LFA17
We were in Bowness in April, most traffic including hawks,Texans, typhoons, ospreys and Hercules did see an osprey fly through n-s all though it was late evening. In the mach loop aircraft can go the other way round at night so presumably it's the same in the lakes North to South through Dunmail or Th...
