Payerne 20 May 2025

As I was in the area and had some free time I paid a visit to Payerne, weather was mixed but stayed mainly dry for my visit. Taken from the Museum car park, fence gets in the way but you are very close and when the Museum is open (it wasn't when I took this photo), there is a first floor viewing dec...

Dubendorf, Emmen and Alpbach

I have some time to spare on a trip to Switzerland at the beginning of July and a tour taking in Dubendorf, Emmen and Alpbach bases appears feasible. I was going to add Meiringen but it appears that there is no activity in July there, so leaving that out. Does anyone have any tips, advice etc based ...

Re: Exercise 5-21 May?

Is the exercise over as far as Fairford is concerned, or are the MC-130's and Ospreys expected back this week at all?

Re: Exercise 5-21 May?

Sorry for this question, but I've been away last week and trying to catch up with what's happening at Fairford. Reading the thread I can see that most (if not all activity) takes place in the evenings/overnight. So my question is really about what is at Fairford, I think it's three Osprey's, but I'v...

Lerwick Harbour 9 May

Does any know the serial of the Merlin on the back of RFA Tidesurge that left Lerwick around 1pm on the 9th May?

My photos from Sumburgh Head confirmed the ship was RFA Tidesurge A138, but too much haze to identify the Merlin

Payerne

I'm hoping to be able to get a few hours to spend at Payerne next month during a business trip. Other than the museum, I have seen reference to a viewing deck at the Aeropole site. However, the information I was reading is 10 years old, so I wondering does anyone have any recent experience/informati...

Re: Drawdown of Puma 31st March

Did anybody ID the Puma parked outside as Warlock departed ? guessing it was a spare Working through my photos and the light wasn't helpful but it's looking like code V, Y or X I don't think there's any pumas with those letters still operating, only two I know of of that weren't part of the flypast...

Brize Norton 12th March 2025

There was a cluster of aircraft south of the runway near a hangar. I know the serials of the Typhoon, Chinook, Poseidon and A.400, but does anyone know the serials of the C-17 and Voyager?

Thanks in advance

On Friday 14.02.25 I could see that it had a German flag on the tail. FR24’s on the ground list showed 54+27 as being there, having arrived 15 days previously.

Regards, David
Thanks
