Same for me. Takes ages to connect and doesn't think I'm logged in. If I log in, it works, but very, very slowly and if I come out and go back in it hasn't remembered I'm logged in.

I seem to think last year at P&V east they parked us on a hardstanding about 1/4 mile away, wheras previously we parked on grass about 100 yards away from the entrance. I think a trolley is probably a good idea.

One or two thoughts (got a bit more time today). Don't get too caught up about magnification, aperture & light gathering capability is more important. On any proper astronomical telescope magnification can be changed by using different eyepieces. Telescopes have focal lengths just like camera lenses...
