Re: Queens birthday Flypast
These guys might be worth a look… https://youtu.be/_SshEjHXoE0 Something specialist like that is probably your best bet. Sadly I think (for all news channels, not just the BBC) an aircraft flypast is not really a viewer-puller; I raised the flypast in my local a couple of evenings ago and was someo...

Simple - never, ever read the Daily Mail "news"paper and never clickbait a Daily Mail link. Works for me.

Eyeballing Russian Airbases
Google Maps has just released higher resolution satellite imagery of all Russian military installations (obviously includes air bases), so armed with this - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Russian_Air_Force_bases - I have just spent an entertaining hour eyeballing some. Fascinating stuff - by...

Re: Hawks at Boscombe Down
It was suggested that they were owned by QQ, they never have been, nothing to do with them at all. They were an RAF assett and QQ never flew them in their CAM role. Agree QQ did have a contract for maintenance support however.

Re: Canada selects F-35A
At least the F-16 often has some colour and charisma, now just a sea of grey F-35zzzzzz won't have anything like the same attraction. I know that's not its purpose but it'll make aviation more boring for the enthusiasts and photographers. Say goodbye to all those fantastic special schemes on the CF...
