F-35B certainly couldn’t operate from a dispersed pad such as Sid’s Strip used by the Harriers on the Falklands.

I go by which line the jet comes off of, regardless of callsign etc, as has been said the jets are pooled and are rotated between the units but as Ian has said, they tend to keep them with a Sqn for a period before rotating them. A bit easier just now as none of the Sqn's are deployed. Can get conf...

Question for the compiler. How do you decide/know which airframes belong to which squadron? Apart from the 9 Sqn jets, aren't all the others pooled between sqns?

Chris, Basically the same marking layout as the other 9 Sqn jets, large green bat outlined yellow on fin, WS-T in red on fin, yellow and green Sqn bars each side of the fuselage roundel. Didn't note any other markings.

I think you will find that there is going to be more construction work so it has been closed off for safety reasons. Maybe you should look at the Lossiemouth Spotters Group on FB as that has more info from the station. Nice of you to appreciate the facilities that are provided
