Re: Lipetsk 17th of August 2005. Picture heavy.

Who did you travel with? It was an APC (Aviation Photo Club - the precursor of COAP,) tour of the Moscow area. Base visits included Ivanovo, Ryazan and the Chernoye Mil Mi-2, Mil Mi-8 and Antonov An-2 repair and restoration facility. We also visited the museum at Monino and spent two days at Zhukov...

Lipetsk 17th of August 2005. Picture heavy.

As it’s nearly twenty years since our visit, I thought is was about time I got around to editing the rest of the photos I took during this epic visit back in 2005. Lipetsk is the chief combat training centre of the Russian Aerospace Forces. I’ve no idea why they put on such a show for our visit but ...

So the US is no longer able to negotiate from a position of strength? :S
Are you saying "strength" as in having to pay Europe's way?
Are you saying funding this war ad infinitum?

Or what?
You’ve obviously bought the Trump line, so no point in answering.

To put it in to sporting terms, it’s becoming more and more evident that Trump is batting for Russia.

One typo regarding the Canadian Hooter, it's a CF-104 and not a CF-104D.
Apologies, I copied the information from the Scramble show report without thinking - now amended.

Upper Heyford Open House 1976

The Bicentennial show on the 3rd of July prior to Mildenhall on the 4th of July 1976. A bit of a meagre selection, possibly down to the way the static was arranged, the distance from the display line or more than likely due to my laziness regarding scanning. :halo: At the time the HAS shelters were ...

A bit of a mixed bag, quality wise (milk bottle quality 400mm lens! ) but it gives a flavour of the event:- https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54061343291_fe637008c7_h.jpg C-1A-136753-Lakenheath-02AU75 by Michael Hall , on Flickr https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54060465967_eba9bd95a3_h.j...

...can anyone advise what the projections are underneath the forward wing root, both sides?
I believe they are strike camera pods. The starboard one housing a forward facing camera and the port, rearward facing.

From it's altitude, it must be Don Bullock flying it.
I can remember at the time a few colleagues and myself referring to him as “Silly B” - not in affectionate way.
