They rehearse for all the flypasts over London, as its the most congested airspace in the South of England. And yet you clearly expect one size fits all...!!

A simple look back on this forum would have answered your question
Thanks for your help.

Re: King's Birthday flypast rehearsal 2025

This thread is getting so mixed up with references to KBF and VE flypasts I for one cannot see the wood for the trees. Can't we keep the two separate? Fairly sure there is a VE thread already - if not anyone who wants to post VE stuff could they please start one. Yes it has gone off the flight path...

Re: king's birthday flypast rehearsal 2025

are you saying next week there will be a aircraft formation in the shape of 80? where is that info from? i understand there is only 23 aircraft taking part and what was done on Monday (if you include reds and BBMF) will take you to 23. I don't think any typhoons have been up practicing this formati...

Re: king's birthday flypast rehearsal 2025

Kings Birthday Flypast is listed as 14/06/2025 on the Red Arrows Display Dates : https://www.raf.mod.uk/display-teams/red-arrows/displays/ Seems logical that there would be a rehearsal for timings etc. Keep an eye on the NOTAMS nearer the time. I see - thank,s a little too early then. I knew the da...

Re: king's birthday flypast rehearsal 2025

I think you've just answered your own question as to why there needs to be a rehearsal!!! Different date, timing, aircraft, formations, frequencies, route, etc etc etc. Well maybe not quite so simple The route is the same. The date is not far different. The time is 45min different so near as the sa...

king's birthday flypast rehearsal 2025

Does anyone know if there will be a king's birthday flypast rehearsal like there has been in the past. I was there at Cranwell for yesterdays 80th rehearsal and just wondered if they will consider that as also the rehearsal for the Kings birthday or will we be treated to another rehearsal 1 week bef...

Re: Kings birthday flypast practice

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. Was hoping to catch a view of the practice but it seems like they don't feel the need. I am not surprised the King has requested it after all the work that went into it and it was cancelled at the last min.

Re: Kings birthday flypast practice

Is there going to be an 'official birthday' for His Majesty in June? I thought, perhaps wrongly, that this was instigated by Her late Majesty, to provide a Royal event in summer. Does anyone know for certain if there is such an event planned for this year? The official birthday was actually instiga...

Kings birthday flypast / practice

Does anyone have any info on when or even if there will be a practice for this like there has been before for the Queen.
Or perhaps would they consider the coronation one they did as the practice as it was not long ago.

NOTAM says between 1300 hours and 1350 hours over Cranwell - I assume this is GMT/Zulu although it doesn't say. Flight level 3,000ft.
That's my confusion problem --- GMT/Zulu  .
So is that just between 1pm and 1.50pm then

Re: King’s Coronation Flypast Info 25th - 27th April & 6th May 2023

I did have in mind that it may be on the half hour but which one 2.30 or 1.30. And no as far as I know it is not a full flypast so for instance where there would be a formation of typhoons say for example spelling out something like CIIIR there would only be a "place sitting typhoon" for the practic...
