Re: Edinburgh military tattoo flypasts 2024
Looks like it'll be hanging around a bit, seeing as it's taking a direct route towards the area around Dunbar. They could have had time for a cuppa themselves before take-off.

You both beat me too it as I was typing! Level with Aberdeen, heading towards Ballater.
Just about to tuck into my free Belgian Bun from Lidl, with a cup of tea. Feels more the thing to do tonight.

Good luck to all those hoping to view the last one tonight. I'll be staying home again - my success record this year has been bad enough!

Re: Edinburgh military tattoo flypasts 2024

Re: Edinburgh military tattoo flypasts 2024
The first point we need to factor in is that the flypasts aren't for us , the people viewing, photographing and videoing them from outside the castle esplanade. Re: Edinburgh military tattoo flypasts 2024
Although I had no hiccups this time, I'm not sure I'll be bothering to try capturing any more flypasts this year. The sky was clear enough but it's simply too dark to get anything acceptable at that time of night from Arthur's Seat. I ended up with most shots being at 12800 ISO and I generally don't...
