Well, this was a bit premature as the aircraft returned to Cambridge just 30 minutes after the departure.

It was a Dutch plane, not USMC. Also, the listed G-988 is also Dutch.

Yes, 170280 is parked outside H17 and can be seen from Coldham's Lane.

Actually, there were three Dutch Chinooks (D-479, -472 and -601) at Cambridge and four Apaches at Duxford.

I've made a new "inventory" of ex-RAF C-130Js at the end of the day today, 14-Feb-2025. There are 13 aircraft outside: 65, 89 and 68 on the side of H17; 88, 75, 66, 72, 70 and 79 in the front of H17; and 67, 69, 71 and 74 near the tower. The remaining two aircraft, 77 and 78, are currently inside.

Any idea which RAF Herc's are parked outside? There are 13 RAF Hercs parked outside currently, out of total 15. The question is which two are inside. There were no foreign Hercs outside this weekend, just ex RAFs.
