And I am quite excited because there is a bit of "lift" (enhanced reception range) on VHF at the moment and can hear the ground controllers talking to the pilots, not just the pilots.

@Softbill Man No problem, would have been gutted to go all that way only to find i couldn't get to see anything. as i said something has come up and my plans may have changed. not blessed with a decent camera, but would be nice to see some mil aircraft that aren't at 30,000 ft like the 2 C17's and E...

Hi Peter, thanks for reply.
lakenheath sounds appealing, not seen an F15 since early '80's at biggin hill show. Trip will probably be thursday next week, i will update here when i confirm and with any intersting stuff when i get home.
