Puma XW231 landed at about 1245 today (31st August) as Vortex 249 Thanks, was the serial visually confirmed? :) Hi Mike, Serial was confirmed when it was on the ground at Barton before heading up to Warton - unfortunately the JetA1 bowser at Barton went tech while fuelling the 2 Chinooks so couldn'...

Re: Altcar 2021
There are some very limited views of some of the parked helicopters through thick treelines. You can vaguely tell the aircraft type, but no real detail & not read any codes or serials. My suggestion would be a need to be patient & wait for them to fly & view from public footpaths in the area. I unde...

Thanks for the comment, takes more than some rain to put us off in Manchester  I wonder if this was the Apache that I saw when running in Barnton, Northwich this evening at about 18:20. Not often I se...

Two Weeks In Mallorca July 2012
Evening All While Mallorca is mostly famed for being a major holiday destination (which it indeed is) there's still a few bits of military aviation to be had on the island. Over all my visits each day seems to have what I've come to call a 'what on Earth is that doing here?' movement, these can be e...

Buzzer, it is indeed rare to see shots where you can read it off! You normally seem to always be straining to read the things off! Owensy, it makes a very nice change :) Hopefully they'll send a few more our way! Reggie, it's always the way! Although if you did decide to pop up it'd no doubt have be...

AAC371 @ Manchester Barton 21-03-2012
Hi All I post going on at Barton regularly over on CA, but it's not often we get anything in that's appropriate for this forum! Today we had AAC371 (ZJ230) visit for some fuel, it arrived in some beautiful evening light with a real golden tone. Also many thanks to the crew for flying a low approach ...

Breighton "Spring All-Comers Fly In" 27-03-2011
Hi All Hopefully these shots are alright on here? Breighton is home to the Real Aeroplane Club, who own & fly a good number of vintage types. Their little airfield was very busy in Sunday (we think over 100 visiting aircraft!) & here's what was around in military paint. How then wheres that sun? :lo...

Re: Qatar C-17 at Manchester
I can certainly agree about the weather being absolutely awful! Just horrible misty grey, just what you want when your shooting a grey aircraft! :( For anyone that interested it landed at exactly the same time (to the minute) as the last one to pass through. :S My best (or least awful!) effort.. htt...
