Think this was more to do with the civil unrest in Bangladesh stopping it being held there than them getting it outright??

Not surprised they reviewed that! As straight as you like, a bit like the one Pope missed a few balls later

Re: Canon RF 100-500mm f4.5-7.1
Switched from a 1DX and 300 2.8 as main combo to an R6 and this lens as carrying weight was becoming an issue after 2 back/spine surgeries.
The quality of the lens is stunning and even at 500mm wide open I can get still get results equivalent to the 300m prime.
Would heartily recommend.

Re: England vs West Indies Test Series
The 'manufactured' wicket-with-last-ball-of-test-cricket nearly worked if only he'd held onto the caught & bowled chance. Definitely think Mr. Atkinson bowled those last 4 balls of his over trying not to take a wicket!

Skye in May, mainly birds & other aerial phenomena!
Our now annual early May holiday on Skye provided some great photo opportunities with some stunning birds. The pair of Great Northern Divers caused dinner to be delayed one evening while I grabbed a rather rare chance to get 2 summer plumaged and calling adults in the same viewfinder at the same tim...

Re: Shutter priority vs Manual
I confess to be an absolute heathen in all of this and have pretty much always used Program (P) mode which allows me to adjust ISO, exposure or shutter speed at will with the use of 3 of the dials / wheels on the back / top of the (Canon) camera. My main issue is that I often forget in the heat of t...

Oh the irony of that game wasn't lost on me... England trek thousands of miles away to play in what should be lovely conditions only to have their first game, against Scotland, rained off....

Re: Any Smartphone data rescue gurus on here??
Thanks Pune, I've given it a whirl but it has the look that several (Dr.Phone, imyphone etc) of the supposed 'free' recovery software downloads have, same type of menu system, same guide to enter download mode etc and naturally restrictions on the free version so will continue looking for a bit befo...

Any Smartphone data rescue gurus on here??
Hi all, Asking as a last resort as my wife's S5 was damaged at work breaking the screen and as far as we can tell the touch screen function as well as it won't acknowledge the swipe command to answer a call. I've tried backing up through Smart Switch but it won't access it is as it is locked and all...

No room for the Wizard yet they put Moeen and Jordan in, neither of whom IMHO have fired at all in recent times.

Re: LP-E6 batteries.
Bought the twin pack with the original style of charger when I got my R6. Never bothered to use the single Canon battery that came with the cameras as these 2 are always in the grip and offer me all the power I need.

Re: England Winter Tour of India 2024
Afraid I'd have had Jimmy on for the last few overs rather than Woody. As he's now on 699 wickets and with India highly unlikely to bat again I'd have wanted to give him the shot at 700 in case he doesn't play a test again...?

Re: England Winter Tour of India 2024
Wonder how this pitch will stand up after Stokes' comment about he's 'never seen anything like it'...
Yes, both teams have to bat on it but I recall along time ago a test being abandoned in the WIndies after Walsh & Ambrose opened on a pitch that was disintegrating and deemed unfit by the umpires.

Re: England Winter Tour of India 2024
If Root doesn't score BIG in our 1st innings I think he'll be heaing for a dropping as he's seemingly turning into a liablity in all areas, especially his catching. 47-4 would have seen England right on top instead of toiling away.
