Re: Canon 20D EF-S lens compatibility?
As a professional photographer who owns an old 20D as a backup cam, I can confirm that as others have said, the EF-S lenses are entirely compatible with the 20D. The white square on the lens mount aligns with the white square on the camera body during mounting.

Re: Argy L29 low pass
At Oshkosh a few years ago, I used to see an act called Masters of Disaster. Very spectacular, with Jimmy Leroy, Jimmy Franklin, and Bobby Younkin. Excellent very experienced pilots, all three of them. It always worried me. Where are they now? They are all dead. I rest my case. In this country, this...

Re: Air Supremacy
Exactly civilians, do armed Rebels come under that heading? In all fairness if an armed bunch of men want to overthrow a Goverment then they must face what ever force that Goverment want to put up to resist such an attack against it. As for the protection of innocent civilians thats a diferent stor...

Re: Air Supremacy
Resolution 1973, as I understand it, allows for any force necessary, save for troops on the ground, to enforce the protection of civilians.

Re: Air Supremacy
I was just thinking the same thing and was on my way to ask a similar question when I saw your thread! That's what I'd be doing, now that they have air superiority, the obvious next step would be to have a load of Apache's police the area with a few Spooky's in place also. Surely that'd provide bett...

Re: Libya: Who's with us?
Last I heard the Qatari's have sent aircraft while the UAE have backpeddaled a bit and 'confined their involvement to humanitarian assistance'.

Re: 48 hours for Libyan Freedom ??
Was under the impression that the Typhoon was A/G capable even if it's not yet fully realised at this point. Also, surely as part of the no fly zone, the coalition will start performing combat air patrols to ensure Gadhaffi doesn't try to be funny? Maybe the Tiff was on a CAP?

Any chance of more departures from Marham tonight? Hope that's a reasonable (non-dodgy) question to ask. Please ignore if not!

Re: 48 hours for Libyan Freedom ??
The Arab League 'going wobbly' is no great surprise. It could be a case of having to accommodate many different views. Given the substantial anti-western elements it encompasses, the leaders may believe they have to tread a difficult path in not being seen as too pro-western while at the same time ...

Re: 48 hours for Libyan Freedom ??
Reading between the lines it seems like the Arab League are arguing that they were only ever interested in having a no-fly zone. They seem to fail to understand that the imposition of an effective no-fly zone is dependent on the neutralisation of Libyan integrated air-defense systems.

Didn't hear it, but I imagine it was Whiteman AFB in Missouri.

Re: 48 hours for Libyan Freedom ??
Many thanks for that nwmonitor. Have had a good look through the website. So is it a case of just respecting those DA-Notices or is it worth emailing the DA-Notice secretary of someone else to let them know my intentions/ask for a permit? Sorry to ask, but I'd rather be on the right side of the law....

Re: 55 new members in 24 hours
Hi Guys, My name's Tony, been a reader/lurker for a few months now ever since I met two members at the Harrier Farewell at Dunsfold. I'm a professional photographer with an interest in aviation ever since I was a lad. Applied for the RAF scholarship years ago and was invited to Cramwell, but my eyes...
