Re: Strategic Defence Review - 2025

Can an F-35A actually do anything useful range wise? Would probably need to be based in Eastern Poland to bomb Moscow. Don't count on any tanker support.

Re: Electricity meter certificate expired

I am on the receiving end of constant harassment by Scottish Power to have a smart meter. As a qualified electrical engineer I am smart enough to read my own meter! It now appears that they have blocked my ability to submit meter readings either online or by phone!

A friend of mine in his mid 70's, driving a 10 year old car, has just had an increase from just over £300 to just over £900.

Re: Warrantless surveillance of foreign nationals

When I was a member of BARG and various other aviation enthusiast groups 40 something years ago, I was told by a senior society member that MI5 had a membership list.

I know that the Grimsby Telegraph are totally useless as regards getting facts correct, but this find was made in May 2020 and published then.

Unfortunately we no longer have any journalists with the calibre to turn the screw and put things like Lavrov in their place.

Re: Alleged UFO or UAP, 1990, Calvine, Scotland

The Binbrook story actually came from a Lightning pilot! Some of them used to visit the spotters at crash gate 3 occasionally, and one once said "did any of you see the stealth last night?"

Re: Tempest - Britain's new stealth fighter

I just hope that they build something with a decent range/endurance that doesn't need to plug into a tanker (of which we have very limited numbers) almost as soon as it leaves the ground in order to do anything useful.
