Yes I remember it well. Lot's of interesting chat on HF with phone patches back to the US etc. trying to sort the problem. I have it in a log book somewhere in the loft

252.875 has been used recently. There used to be a dedicated frequency but I don't think this is the case now

The Tamron lens has been advertised in the national press lately. I was tempted but according to reviews I've read not so good for fast moving stuff so I've binned the idea
