Re: Marham Opening hours - March 2025

In case of any interest, all 6 Hornets are sat outside this morning. All visible from the lay-by on the A1122.
Hope this helps.

I was at Pima in May 23 and there were, what appeared to be, 3 C12's in the storage area behind the Canberras in this pic. So far I've been unable to ID these aircraft, can anyone help please?
Hi,

There were 3 on the ramp at 10:00 this morning. 730, 734 and 715. All read off. We also visited on Monday eve and 5 were on the ramp but we only read off 713, 717 and 737.
Hope this helps.

I might be wrong but for the US I think you may need to buy the roam further add on which is £25 per month. That’s what I’ve done. I will find out in a few hours!

Re: Phoenix and Tucson area trip Feb 24 and request PHX 18.02.24

Nice reports Another tip : When I was out there last year I found EE roaming didn't work on my phone - fortunately I had previously downloaded off line Google maps and saved favourites of the area i was planning on doing. So although 4G wasn't available GPS was working so Google off line maps allow...

Thanks for sharing these, they bring back great memories. Myself and a couple of mates caught the train from Norwich to Peterborough and then to Metheringham and then cycled to Waddo. Absolutely awesome day at the A15 end. The next day we got the overnight train to Newquay for the St Mawgan Airshow!...

Good stuff and brings back some great memories. I was lucky to get a base visit 2 days later on the 15th. The day started foggy but fortunately the sun soon came out. I have a few Hornets I was unable to tie up so would be interested in seeing your log if you have one. Happy to share mine if of inte...

Taking a spotting scope on a Ryanair flight.

Hi all, We are off to Germany next month for Air Defender. Has anyone any experience of taking their spotting scopes on Ryanair flights? We don’t want to check it in the hold for obvious reasons but the Ryanair website says you can’t take any blunt instruments in the cabin. Previous trips with Easyj...

Re: Queen's Funeral visitors thread.

We parked in the Novotel and then walked under the 04 approach on the pavement adjacent to Long Border Road as far as the trees. The police were more than happy for us to continue to walk along the fence line up to the Diamond hangar. The only warning given was to watch out for the rabbit holes! We ...

Re: Lee on Solent - Stored ex AAC Defenders

We visited here today and whilst there are still 7 outside there is one different one. We were only able to identify 4 which were CEIO, BWPV, DLRA and BWPO (not listed above). Hope this helps and any ID on the remaining 3 would be much appreciated.

What a great thread. The photo of the old log is such a great addition. It would be fascinating to see everyone’s best day spotting in a single image from the log book. It would make a great thread in its own right.

Landivisiau Airshow 2003

Hi Just started to try and scan some old prints from the past. I'm afraid the quality isn't great because the original prints were taken from a very basic film camera and have since been scanned using my iPhone and the Pic Scanner app. I cant believe these are from 17 years ago. The weather started ...
