Morayvia night shoot 11 Nov
A big shout out to Jim Simpson for organising two night photography sessions at Morayvia, Kinloss. Listening to feedback, the first one was for advanced and the second for beginners with a team of experienced photographers (and me) to give assistance when needed. The key words with any night photogr...

Interesting to see how few had the spraylat applied to the canopies, a sign perhaps of their ultimate fate at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico.
Some nice memories there.

Re: Aviation Nightshoots
Image stabilisation/s set to OFF You can get away with wider apertures. Use a cable release. Goes without mentioning sturdy tripod. If you are using a DSLR a blob of Blu-Tak over the eyepiece to stop stray light entering the camera, or use the internal eyepiece shutter if it has one. Never be afraid...

Morayvia - Kinloss Night shoot 2022
Many thanks to Jim and the rest of the Moravyvia volunteers who made last night possible. Mainly the aircraft were lit in sequence, I done this last year so I had the flexibility to be a bit more creative with lighting, mainly light painting but I managed to try out something totally new for me. Her...

National Museum of Flight - East Fortune
I realised that I had not been to east Fortune in a very long time, so I rectified that last weekend. There's a quirk at the museum where you need a permit to use a tripod (tripod=professional,) so I used the median Stack, where I mounted the camera on a monopod, set a high ISO on the camera and gav...

Moravia Night shoot 7 Nov
Another night shoot and my first at the Moravia Aviation Museum at Kinloss. It was well worth the two and half hour drive for the three and a half hours that I spent photographing the collection by night. The weather wasn't great, a wee but breezy and I lost some pictures due to the effects of gueri...

Likewise, I too have had a Thunderbug/Corn Lice in the viewfinder of my 5D mk I, I could never get used to seeing it walk across the screen...it's still in the camera somewhere.

Stoneykirk Aviation Museum
Where? Tucked away to the south of Stranraer is this wee aviation museum. The museum has restricted opening times, so it's well worth checking the web site for times and how to get there. =================== Yesterday's B-Log I took a major daftie and went for a run on the Beemer, marking up somethi...

Re: A pair of exotic helicopters at Perth
I could only see the "5" and the code was something like "DdiF3something" That's why I wrote I THINK above the first pic.
I really didn't want to look like a plane spotter, so I tried to be as casual as I could and mk.I memory failed me.

Grey or not grey, they are a nice set of photos, I'm amazed at some were built in FY 1987. The original pilots sons will be flying them now!

Re: Transferring Images Cable or Wireless
For what it's worth, I used to use USB to upload from my Canon 1DX onto my PC without any issues. Nowadays, I have to use a memory card reader to upload the Fuji files.
As for wireless Fuji transfer, I've never tried it. The app is so infuriating that my phone would not stand me temper tantrum

Re: Photo scanner
Scanning negatives/slides it the most tedious of processes. See if you can get yourself a bulk scanner, either that or a macro lens and re-photograph them.
The best thing to do is a Google search or trawl through Youtube, you'll get plenty of inspiration there.
Good luck!
