Re: Security and activity

The new signs are most probably to do with the National Security Act 2024. It is an now offence to photograph or video military installations from public land, it previously wasn't, but I wouldn't worry for aviation photographers as it's to do with potential hostile reconnaissance and 'auditors.' P...

Re: CSG25 - Marham Jets

With the CSG now through the Suez Canal, have any of the jets returned back to Marham as was rumoured? I read in the Heads Up about the gathering of Voyagers in Cyprus so was wondering if they were for the rumoured return of one of the squadrons.

Re: Thursday 15th May

Ranger 91 looks to be heading back over southern Norway now. Couple of hours out I’d guess. Am I correct in assuming these flights between Prestwick, Norway and Benbecula are Formidable Shield related? I’ve seen them do these flights for the past 4 or 5 days. Edit: looks to be going to Benbecula fi...

My Phantom-pilot pal has just said "I wonder how hard the Nav punched the Pilot!"
But he must have had a lot of trust in him not to bang out the jet!!

Re: VE Day 80th

I counted the aircraft wave by wave in the article and only made it 20, that’s including the Reds as 9 aircraft. Can anyone account for the other 3? Is the Dakota back from Duxford yet ? If so, Spitfire, Hurricane and Dakota RAF webpage is stating no single engined aircraft but the Dakota could be ...

Re: CSG25 - Marham Jets

I read somewhere, latest RAF News I think but not 100% sure, that 37 jets had been delivered with the last 11 of the first order due to be delivered this year before the F-35/carriers are declared FOC on 31st December 2025. Where are the last 2?

Re: Operation Highmast

Looking at all the media releases, I haven’t seen anything that suggests one of the squadrons will be returning early. In the latest edition of the RAF News, CO 809NAS comments suggest there are on board for the full deployment and the Lightning Air Wing Commanders comments also suggest both squadr...

Re: Operation Highmast

I’m wondering if the rumoured 10x USMC F-35’s to Lossiemouth next week for Ex Formidable Shield, are infact for CSG25? Deploying a whole Squadron requires a lot of support and I would’ve expected a couple of support flights over the past weeks, but nothing. The USMC are not going on the carrier, 61...

Re: RAMSTEIN FLAG MOVEMENTS

For a 09 take off, am I correct in thinking the northern taxiway is closed and the F-16’s are using the southern taxiway. It just I saw a clip that looked like they were using the southern taxiway and I’m popping up this week. MTIA The F-16s and the KC135 used the southern taxiway today; and last T...

If I put it on Air 122.1, will I hear tower? What does bandbox mean? Apologies for all the questions!!
Basically no you won't hear the tower unless they are talking to the occasional civil visitor
Many thanks to your help, I appreciate your time and assistance
