Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2017 Discussion Thread
Looks like we've got another F-4E added with this update as 2 are now down, I'm sure it was 1 a few days ago?! :thumb:  I was always under the impression it was 2 in the first place - but I'll certainly not moan if another one's been added. This is certainly shaping up to be an excellent even...

Certainly an update of 2 halves..seen the additions and was like :O  Then seen the cancellations and was like :'(. Really wanted to see the Slovakian Mig! Exactly my thoughts! Gutted too about the Slovakian MiGs, was one of my highlights. Weird as it was a surprise update only a few weeks a...

Re: Weston-Super-Mare
Planning on going tomorrow. Can anyone suggest a good time to get there for. I was thinking of getting there for about 9:00, but I'm not sure if that's leaving it a bit to late to avoid the traffic. All I can remember of last year is people still queuing at 1:00pm trying to get on the beach. 9 will...

See you there, should be a good show! Any ideas whether the Mig-15 and B-17 made it to Bristol and VL? Sorry dude no clue at all. Sally B was due in at yeovilton today, no idea if she got there though. No worries Sally! Found out earlier that Sally B was unable to get down today so is landing at Ye...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2016 Discussion Thread
If they can manage to get a B-1, B-52 & C-5 on static + some other US stuff then I really do think this could be the best RIAT for a fair few years! 2012 is the last one that really stands out in recent years and I think it could surpass that! Here's hoping we get that plus more

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2016 Discussion Thread
I was discussing this show with a fellow FCer last night. We agreed that in 'the good old days', upwards of 450 aircraft were on the field. I won't even attempt to list the types. It's why us oldies have trouble understanding the almost orgasmic enthusiasm that is greeted by some reasonably ordinar...

Re: P47 SNAFU a brief visit to our shores
The suggestion seems to be that "Snafu" is based at "Comanche Ranch", a private airfield somewhere in Texas, approximately 100 miles from Houston (although it doesn't mention in which direction!) Evidently a lot of the aircraft based there also spend some time at Chino too. Hope this helps a bit, c...

Re: P47 SNAFU a brief visit to our shores
Miss seeing her fly, such a lovely airframe.
2 questions.
Where is this based in the states now?
and
What happened to the silver P47 that Duxford once owned? MX X
Cheers
