Wish I'd had a TV; sounded spectacular on the wireless.
Wouldn't it be interesting if Mr. Verstappen consulted this Forum!

Re: F1 2025
For the TV viewer it became a farce when Bernie Ecclestone took control of the cameras; one never saw a race- cameras told to zoom into the cockpits, get all the advertising into the living-rooms of the world. The one race where the cameras zoomed back to show any number of cars coming into the corn...

Excellent Mark.
Radio commentators were speculating whether Tsunoda could be under team orders to have a crash! No no- would have been too obvious.

Re: F1 2025
What happened to Max; I actually bought a 'red-top' for the first time hoping to read about the last ten laps? I'd left the house to do my Sunday shopping before they shut- Max was leading, radio was speculating he was hoping for a red-flag moment during which he'd do his second tyre-change- nowt in...

Re: F1 2025
'twas last victory for the BRM marque; I was at Monza for their penultimate win in 1971 in, at that time, the quickest and shortest Grand Prix. Being on the inside of the circuit it was damn painful on the neck muscles. The Italians went wild when Jackie Stewart passed us on the grass with a blown e...

Re: AF1 and gas n go
Tech-specs aside, when they G-n-G away from home I guess hydrants are used rather than bowsers. I remember after an Airfete a B-52 (of 93rd BS?) was fuelled up at the nee 29 hammer-head from bowsers. When I started counting them I guess three or four had already off-loaded the juice- the number of t...

Well caught Richard. What was your actual "20", (location); somewhere in the North Lakes, guessing the wind-farm is Robin Riggs in the Solway.

I remember the pictures in the Lancashire Evening Post.
Bit of a "carrier landing" there.

It's decades ago now, but one time when skiing the French Alps I used my "switch" card (?) to get local currency. It took weeks before the transaction showed on a statement and during that time the £ got quite a lot stronger than the frank. Again it's decades since my passe expired and that sort of ...

Pausing on the F-15s I don't suppose anyone knows what the blisters are each side of the 'WSO's" office?

Green Shield stamps? I remember petrol rationing in 1956. Father used to switch off the Ford-8's engine to coast down every hill. And to go to school we used to walk the mile to our nearest railway station to catch the Manchester Club train to Kendal. That was a novelty as some mornings the class 5X...

Do you have a close-up of the A-110- post it in 'General'? I've never seen a yellow one before. Is it a 1300 or 1600? Always fancied one in my bucket-list collection:- GT 40, a 917 thank you very much, Clan Crusader (had one once), T-16 perhaps and an RS-200.

Re: Tornado at park drain,07/03/25
Dial up 'youtube 60163, 26th March'; there's a few clips of yesterday's test run. Some say it's been repainted Brunswick green, I believe it's officially bronze green as opposed to chrome green. Gut smart anyway.

Re: Tornado at park drain,07/03/25
Howdo. The A1, "Tornado" is out on a loaded test-run as I write. Since it arrived at WCRC, Carnforth, it's been through the paintshop and is now in BR green with 'late crest' on its tender- looking fabulous. Unusually, the test-load (eleven coaches) doesn't include a diesel. I'll be checking out you...
