Re: Saudi Show at Warton - 22 June
I suspect the hands on head is a sign to the crew to have hands away from everything while it is armed. Just a guess though.

Re: Indianapolis Air Show
Albert was on the runway but the props were over the edges and they threw up the crud. This wasn't the best display I have seen the Angels give and I guess that wasn't so surprising when we saw what happened a short while later. Glad to see the team is now back up and running.

Cheers. It is a Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon. First time I had seen one airborne so a nice part of the trip for me. That and the Trader were a treat.

Indianapolis Air Show
Last weekend there was a show in Indianapolis. It is about a three hour drive from here. The forecast was mixed and the show is backlit so not a great combination but I gave it a go on the Saturday. First show of the season for me so time to get out and have a go. Just as well I didn't go on Sunday ...

The missile is an ALARM. Don't think it was ever actually cleared on Jaguar of course but hanging something on for an air show is fair game!

Sadly not, I'm afraid. I think Dusty was the last of them for the programme.

Re: WARTON EGNO 31st MARCH 2011
Never mind Mickey. It would have been just like every other departure of one of the based Hawks over the last nearly 15 years. They have been around a long time! On a related note, did anyone on here ever get any shots of XX196 when it was based at Warton. It was the air defence grey jet with the bl...

When XX196 was based at Warton it was in air defence grey but had a black tailplane and rudder since they had been swapped out at some point.

Re: Boscombe Down 19th January
Is that a Meteor tucked under the F3 with the camera pods? Are they planning on some jettison trials or is it working up for a full firing?

The Victor in the background looks pretty neat too. Since it is 27Sqn, I assume the Vulcan was one of the maritime aircraft? Is that a sensor pod under the wing?

Re: Harriers I have known!
The notes I have on the Blog just say an unidentified T4 at StAthan. Its my friends scan and sadly he is no longer with us. I will check his notes for a date but its my guess that its a standard T4 (if he knew it was an N he would have put it on the slide notes). It's either an RAF T2 (without Lase...

Old Air Show Help
This is asking a favour of you and is only for those that have a bit of spare time on their hands. I have dug up some old negatives and the one thing I know is that the labeling is wrong. There are a mix of locations and years. I think it is just Fairford and Waddington and I think there may be some...
