Tac Blaze 2025 - Tuesday 1 April
Just a couple from a trip to Butterburn to catch the Dutch on their annual Tac Blaze deployment to Carlisle. A smaller one this year - just three Apaches and three Chinooks. Arriving early, I had a very long wait for the action (should have read the NOTAM!), with the Apaches arriving around 17 30 bu...

Re: C-2 Greyhound visits Edinburgh
Thanks chaps, particularly pleased to catch it; I’ve had three unsuccessful trips to Prestwick hunting it, so it was very nice of them to bring it to me. Perhaps other militaries could take note!

C-2 Greyhound visits Edinburgh
Anther superb military movement at EDI. A divert in en route from Harry S Truman to its TDY base at Prestwick, due to fog, thankfully parked in about the best spot possible. Unusual to have to queue to take this pic from the foot wide section of fence that provided an unobstructed view. It departed ...

Dragonslayer MH-60S at Edinburgh
Aother week, another top visitor at EDI. This Harry S Truman based MH-60 from HSC-11 dropped in twice from the boat, which was operating off the East of Scotland /Northern England today. Freindly crew and lovely light, a very good lunch break. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54082812627_78b34c21...

Re: Prestwick TA-4J 17/04/2024
Reading your Flickr caption I see it is your first Skyhawk and to get a 2-seater must have been a real treat. I hadn't appreciated that there was one over in Europe, so that made me doubt the listing on FR24 for it- I was delighted to be educated! Now, if you could send some of that gin-clear sunny...
