It is due to be painted at Biggin Hill (if it hasn't already gone there)
Cheers

Sorry for the lateness of this report. On the way home???? from seeing the Korean Herc's at Boscombe a visit was made to Lee to see the ex Army Defenders.
They were in two rows. Front row, left to right, 2 then gap then 1. Rear row 4 aircraft. Civil marks taken from paper in cockpits.

Front row:
G-BWPO T.3 (ex ZH004), unmarked example, gap, 2 on nose (ZH002?)
Rear row:
G-BWPX (ex ZG998?), G-BWPV (ex ZG997?), half 3 visible on nose (ZH003?), G-BLRA.

The unmarked example on the front row did not have any paperwork in the cockpit. A photo of the blacked out serial seems to show a 5 at the end of the patch. ZH005?
Any confirmation appreciated

On 16 July I noticed 9 Defenders (two rows of four aircraft each, and one on its own by the hangar). Sadly I could only identify the T3 (due to the variation in antennae), former (ZH00)2 and G-DLRA while the others were all R2s. What's the latest on the situation here?

First row:
T.3 (which makes it ex ZH004), unmarked example, unmarked example, 2 on nose (so ZH002 I presume)
Second row:
G-DLRA, unmarked example, unmarked example, unmarked example

Hats off to those number crunchers who have been able to read off the paperwork in the cockpits, I couldn't do it due to the heat, backlight.

AS9819 landed back at Lee-on-Solent just after 3pm which was fortuitous for me :-)

Can anyone please advise me if the Ex IAC Islander 254 is visible and if so where abouts it might be parked at Lee.
Is there any info please regarding where AS9819 is operating from and when it is due to fly home to Malta.

AS9819 is with Britten-Norman for rework. I saw it today and it looks freshly painted and has been doing a few flights in the last week or so so my GUESS is that it will depart for home soon.

Can anyone please post a recent picture of the sole ex AAC Defender parked south of the Brittan-Norman hangar?

Nobody for the eight Defenders that were outside around RIAT (apart from the ASTOR)?
Here's hoping....

Could you please clarify which one is going / gone to Biggin hill?

I saw 1 to the south of the Hangar and 8 parked to the North with only G-DLRA out of the 8 identified.
I could see no numbers on the noses or paper in the windows.

Having seen 8 of the 9 which are there, very keen to find which one is hangared or has departed.

Any help welcome.

The one for paint was the Maltese one that then left for home some time ago.

It’s not what you look at that matters. It’s what you see.

IAC254 is in Bellman 1 hangar which is the hangar to the south of the stored Defenders.
