Noticed this morning a big improvement in reliability - I am not getting the connection lost message every few minutes on my phone

Looks to be shut down. Hope the guy's ok.
Shutdown
November 2023I have shut down my site.
I’d like to thank everyone for their support over the years.
I know my site was not the fastest or easiest to use, so thanks for your patience.

I strongly encourage everyone to get behind the team at airframes.io.
You can join their Discord Server here: https://discord.gg/airframes or connect with their X here: https://twitter.com/AirframesIO
ACARS messaging is the future of aircraft monitoring and the team at airframes are committed to bringing ACARS to the web.
If you have an ADSB feeder setup, please consider adding another antenna and SDR to feed ACARS data as well.
ACARS requires as many feeders as ADSB, so more locations is always better for you and the whole avgeek community.

Takeoffs are optional, landings are mandatory.

Have just found the same thing and came on here to pass it on.

If this is completely it for acars.adsbexchange.com, then I'm sure you will all join me in wishing an upmost and heartfelt thanks to all the work put in by thebaldgeek over this time. It was only through brief communications from him on FC that I realised he doesn't actually use the site himself, which makes the dedication to delivering the web page all the more spectacular (if it were even possible to be so!). The site has been a game changer and honestly am gutted if it is truly gone for good.

Thank you for all your efforts and I second with Diamond Chap, hope you are alright.

Eagle

Well that's a shame, I personally didn't understand most of what was on the site but still found it very useful. Wish you all the best in the future 'thebaldgeek', thanks for your efforts.

I tried to follow the link to discord.gg/airframes but my browser says the address is not valid. Is this because I'm using Safari or does anyone else have the same issue ?

This might not be the place for the following query so am happy to get it moved if needed.

Not sure if I am doing something wrong here but I cant seem to get any data from the airframes.io web page (https://app.airframes.io/messages/live)? Just is stuck in a perpetual loading screen without ever getting anywhere, I haven't joined the discord as I don't have an account so perhaps that is the issue, in a similar fashion I don't have an account on the airframes.io which may also be an issue?

Was hopeful that someone else might be a user who could point me in the right direction.

Many thanks in advance

Ditto. A quick check of the browser console reveals multiple javascript errors (hence the reason it is stuck). They've probably relied on something that requires the very latest browser.

Ah that would make sense, Will update my browser and try again at some point over the weekend.

So far I have tried Safari, Chrome and Edge with no luck but an update (if there is one) might help. Somewhat glad to hear I'm not the only one having issues at least...!

https://app.airframes.io/messages/historical will let you use the search.
Thanks for that, unfortunately still the same issue so will try the browser updates and see but no joy yet

Hi All
Firstly, many thanks to Thebaldgeek for all his excellent work..what a site you created…superb!!
So I have moved over to Airframes and, sadly, nothing seems to load for me either. It probably doesn’t help that at present there is no (seeable) way of filtering down to a specific satlink or simply military/civil so the shear volume of data just pulls an absolute wobbly!!
I’m sure that the developers et-al will fix this eventually but in the meantime if anyone knows of a European satlink feed for mil only that would be appreciated.
Absolute techno-phobe so sadly no idea where to start in my own venture.

Cheers
Simon

If you click on the link shown above in the previous post . when you get there click the search button on the left side menu at the bottom and messages should appear.

No acars.adsbexchange any more that is a shame - what was the problem - hosting issues?

As others have said I can get messages from https://app.airframes.io/messages/historical and selecting this week plus a text filter such as RCH but that is slightly naff and obviously a way to filter on all military is required to make the site useful to me ( nothing against civil but I can see where B-LRT is going from FR24 without the need for acars)

I can see an all military filter is very difficult as what characterizes a military message ? - probably the so called hex code of the aircraft AE.... , 43C... Etc etc

A nice feature is you can save your favourite search criteria and then just click search to make something happen:-

https://app.airframes.io/messages/histo ... k&text=RCH

There is some potential

Search on EGUN ( it pays to know your icao - as spotters do ) unfortunately EGUN works but DA:EGUN returns an error therefore the filtering is basic and could be improved to be more useful

This filters out spurious eguns such as legun etc

Include the ':'

https://app.airframes.io/messages/histo ... =last-week

I miss most the browsing features in the old acars website - you could discover a flight of interest whereas I think filters are restrictive and limit your horizons much like a Google news feed that only tells you things you previously showed an interest in - where is the spontaneity!?
