Report from l’aviation légère de l’Armée de terre base Pau, in southern France. Airspeed Media and members of Suffolk Aviation Society had the opportunity to visit before Tiger Meet 2019.

Hi Mick,

Nice photos.

Did you read off the gate guards?

Noted an Allouette 2 , 2285 assumed, and a Gazelle, possibly GTR looking at your photos.

Hi Trevor,

Thanks. It was a great opportunity to go to a less known base in France.

The main gate there was: -
Gazelle 1027/GTR
Alouette III 1582/PAU
Alouette II 2285
Puma 1008/FVX

There was another Gazelle near to the special forces area which was 1270/GUT
