I have a question on the 1991 Air Tattoo.. I understand that the 120th Tactical Fighter Squadron didn't attend the 1991 Tiger Meet and yet a patch was released
Any idea why?

While I'm not a Tiger Meet expert, all I know is that the 120th was scheduled to attended and had the patches made up, when their participation was cancelled "at the last minute"

Now this is just a guess, but could that have had something to do with Desert Storm back then?

by the way, could you possibly send me a picture of that patch showing the back side please?
I have that patch in my collection but may be afraid mine might be a repro, fake, remake.

Mine has the black backing, which indicates it was made in the UK - I have a few other patches from this period with the same backing.
There's also another 120th Tiger Patch, but with a green eye. Mine has a red eye.

I do believe there are fakes of these patches going around so you do have to be careful

Have to agree that they were due to attend, not sure about the Dessert Storm angle but certainly seems viable as they were fully mobilised by 1991.

My patch is really different, defenitely not UK made.
Never knew they were UK made. I can send you a picture of mine by PM if you wish..
I have plenty of trouble to upload any pictures here, Just can't get it to work.
