Lost in France (holiday snaps)

Post by pg1610 » Tue Jul 05, 2022 5:43 pm

As Mrs PG1610 still does not want to fly (covid/delays/cancellations ect) we decided this years holiday would be a driving holiday to France, originally planned to go to Normandy to have a look at the D-Day beaches and activities on and around June 6th , we changed the plan to go South instead.
So Manchester-Folkstone-Paris-Toulouse-Nice-Lyon-Paris-Home (or more or less) 2983 miles door to door , a total of just under 66 hrs driving over 12 days

Lovely set of French sight-seeing. My wife and I are currently on a France road trip and now in Gap heading to the Camargue then back up through Central France next week. Bit warm at 34 degrees but getting used to it.

Very nice images, thanks for sharing.
We'll be off to France in October, near to Bordeaux, a tad cooler than the 30's :thumb:

It's just nice to be back touring in La Belle France. So beautiful down in Provence with the sunflowers and lavender field. Did touch 36C today, phew.

These photographs are lovely. I missed out on motoring holidays in Europe, having spent 39 years of 13 hour days in my car for my job. It was the last thing I wanted to do for my holidays!!. Holidays for us always meant exotic, different continents etc.,I now realise that I should have spent more time in Europe and the U.K. tho' I did do some motoring. Too old to do the former holidays, so may do some more of the latter. Cheers.John. :)

Pune. Over the years had three motoring holidays in Scotland. Rained every time, and nearly all the time. Regards. John. Quote 'There's Ben Nevis, love, well, the first 200 feet anyway!.' :(
