Airship Hangars At Cardington

Decided to take some pictures of the old airship hangars at Shortstown / Cardington and then HDR process them. For those of you who don't know these are 812-foot long monsters used to build the R100 and R101 airships back in the late 1920's.

Hangar-1, were R100 was built, is in pretty bad repair these days. Hangar-2 is much better and used as a movie set.

Still haven't got a clue what I'm doing with HDR / Photomatrix!

Nice, the RAF Museum reserve collection was housed here for a while I believe.

I would have thought these hangars are a listed building.

They are:
http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/res ... id=1114165" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/res ... id=1136810" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Listing is of little use unless there is active maintenance though.
