Well having been 'torment'ed by turning up late and missing the Lynx and flares, a bit of a Joint Warrior reward for making the trip in the sun -
15:10 - 15:30 approx., 4 pairs of Gripen callsign Dragon 31-34 and callsign either Stacker or Stacky 31-34, with two pairs coming in at about 10,000ft and two pairs coming down to about 5000ft. All flew one run from the north west onto the north part of the range before egressing north.
Other afternoon visitors included Tornado pair for quick in/out (14:50), and a Harrier T-12 two seat (possibly 108) which came in via ops at Otterburn (16:25 - 16:34). The latter made a nice pass S - N for a Smokey Joe before departure south med-high level to Cottesmore I think.
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....

Thanks for that (I had a feeling it might have been Monster but hadn't noted it down, and had heard various poss callsigns for one or two Harriers but saw only one)johnhowe wrote:The GR4s callsign was monster 1 & 2 one of the Harrier had a Striker callsign + Cott 50. one was RTB Cott the other RTB Witt.catkins wrote:Well having been 'torment'ed by turning up late and missing the Lynx and flares, a bit of a Joint Warrior reward for making the trip in the sun -
