Geoff your missing one is ZG917, it was the one that didn't fly today. Can confirm all quoted serials, from photos.

Bit of a disaster today. Arrived at around 11.30 to find 5 aircraft had already departed. Decided to check out Otterburn for Farp. Just as I left Army 998 called up Carlisle around 12.24, so I waited till he landed. Reg was ZG887 a Lynx 9A. Went to Otterburn. Nothing there. Back to Carlisle, saw a Lynx 9A heading East by the A69 at 3.15. Got to Carlisle and found I'd just missed the 4 shipper returning. ZG889 was gone, so assuming that was the one I saw at the A69.Wasted day due to the Otterburn trip. A couple of Oskosh Tankers turned up around 3.45, (from the Farp?) Also had some Army vehicles heading South past me as I was heading North of Longtown. Possibly they were in the Keilder area, as they were in there yesterday. Same 6 Lynx as yesterday were present, with the same 5 flying.

For the past couple of weeks I have been side lined by a particularly nasty stomach bug. I have not been going to Warton or my favourite places at Watty Bells Cairn or Wiley Syke but I do follow with great interest the reports submitted by Chris, (Catkins) Danny (Toon) Dannyboyo as well as Geoff, Pat C, Steve, Stewart, Excellent reports keep the good work up. As I was approaching Wiley Syke at 11.30am I heard a couple of GR 4s on the range didn't get any call sign.

Noon for 30 minutes Danish Air force 3070 a C130 was on the range doing EW flying low and medium level
with nice banking over Wiley Syke.

12.30pm a Merlin flew overhead and flew a 20 minute EW slot over Grey mare Hill area.

15.00 an American HH 60 flew directly over my position on the second layby heading north towards Berry Hill
I thought typical, why don't you land at Berry Hill and @@@@@@ Me the HH 60 landed and flew off doing serials
in the north east corner of the range but returned to Berry Hill after about twenty minutes for what I think might
have been a crew change. Callsign Jolly 31

Edit If I remember rightly Friday afternoon was usually the day when The Americans sometimes turned up at Spade.

Hi John, just under the headline its states "Last updated at 15:36, Friday, 09 November 2012" Thus indicating it's old hat i'm afraid.

Thursday the 11t, June, 2015.

I arrived at Wiley Syke at noon after receiving info that there might be trials on at Spadeadam today. Freq used Spade ICF and 315.475 for Vagaabonds.

13.30 Vagabond 19 & Vagabond 20 flew (Wildcats) flew in from the north east and commenced individual flare trials + dispensing chaff.

each helicopter dispensed 64 flares starting with 4 increasing to 8 and then twelve all the action was within 400 yards of the Wiley Syke compound

at various heights, Smokey Sams were fired from R8 at least a dozen. The Vagabonds were on the range for 40 minutes before departing to the north east.

At 15.00 a Falcon 20 arrived for Ew and requested action with Sky Guard.

In the morning an U/I jet probably a GR 4 was heard but not seen calling up Blackdog.

The weather was fantastic sky was gin clear with temp of 75 f. lots of raptors I even heard a cuckoo. in the morning what looked like a buzzard was soaring over Berry Hill and then it dived on some prey and disappeared.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDET2vYcTxQ

Hi John,
Thanks for the interesting post. Did you manage to get the serials for the Vagabond Wildcats?
