D510A & D510 active FAC Exercise.

There will be an FAC Ex with multiple aircraft at D510 Spadeadam from 09.30am to 21.00
most activity will be between 5000 feet to SFC ICF 308.775. Aircraft involved in Exercise
Double Diamond may also be involved.

Plenty of comms activity (Range & FAC 341.250 & 308.775), (TAC/Exercise? 375.635 & 373.275) etc.
Rebel 80 (41 Sqn Coningsby) in area midday, with overflight of Tynedale area near Hexham, then going onto Scottish or poss Leeming.

Snowing, low cloud conditions, so not a photography day!

Better weather day, high hazy cloud base, cloud coming in from west.
Two Harriers (Blazer 1 & 2, 20 Sqn Wittering? - one with tail fin no: 78, other possibly: 80) working a longish slot with FAC late morning followed by lone Hawk early afternoon.

One of my friends Martin ,visited Wiley Syke on Wednesday. There were 12 FACs operating from the Compound they have been at Spade for over a week. Although a lot
of missions were due in the afternoon, most cancelled and have rebooked for today so it looks like The Thursday Boys
have struck lucky, on the other hand it will be cold and probably enough to freeze your off.
