Well done to the Admin team for getting this back so quick, i Admin my own local town website and know how much work is needed also my wife is never happy with the time i spend on here anyway well done thanks.

There should be no problem uploading avatars..
they have to be 120px or less wide and 24kb or smaller is size.
They should all work then?

If you have Photoshop you can save your pictures you want for Avatars using the "Save for Web" function instead of "Save As".
This will save the image (you have an option of how much compression you want) to a reasonable size and will show you what the size is per compression value.

I agree with all the comments it really is a shame that we cant all just get on with each other and appreciate the hard work of the people who run the show.
