Still can't log on!?!?!?!?!?

Hi all....I think I am of the minority here, but I still cannot log onto the FC Forum from my home PC (I am at work!!)....I have tried clearing the DNS via the command prompt etc but I am still unable to log on???

Can anyone shed any light on the subject as I am beginning to lose the will to live!

Unfortunately Spiritwalker there is nothing admin can do - it's either your local machine or your ISP that haven't recognised the DNS change.

Spiritwalker, can you actually see the FC homepage properly but not login? For some reason mine started doing that the other day and I spent ages trying different things. But internet explorer 8 will not run FC for me anymore. Only way I could get round it was to download Firefox and use that instead. Was a pain in the but hey ho

I could try loggin on using Firefox as recommended for now....& i'll keep you informed of my progress!

Sorry to here your problems guys, its just a matter of your ISPS sorting themselves out. The joys of DNS transfers im afraid.

That's a local DNS problem on your PC, clear your Browser Cache and Flush DNS in command prompt.

Silly question, but have you deleted cookies and temp internet files? (Make sure you know all your passwords etc before doing that!)

Only other thing I can suggest, are you maually removing cookies/temp internet files? When I tried to auto remove it didn't delete them all, and some FC one's remained.

.......After giving it some more time and with a little patience......i can now log on again as before from my home pc!.....what a relief!

Could be the ISP.

When i changed to Sky from AOL recently, it wouldn't let me log onto the SPTA forum (Myself and Redherc64 are admins of it)
Found out from Proboards (the forum host) that anyone with a SKY account cannot access proboards... so they gave a temporary solution with entering a port address after the .com
It works fine now... as i entered :8080 after the .com (blahblah.com:8080)

Suggest if it carries on, that you contact Tiscali and see if this problem has arisen and if they have a solution for it.

Yipeeeeeeeeeeee...looks like at long last everything is back to normal...logged out and in a couple of times tonight with no problems..thanks to those concerned for the technical help.Regards Lowfly11.
