More DCS, passing the time as there's not a lot else Military Flying wise going on this time of year...
The SA342 Gazelle was brought out by Polychop Simulations and it is a full fidelity simulation of the real life SA342M/L Gazelle. Every switch works as it should in the real thing with all procedures that have to be carried out in the sim being identical to those used by real life SA342 Pilots.

Target is a convoy of 5x Transport Trucks spotted driving from through the hills south of the FARP. Now in Position hovering behind a hill overlooking their route, allowing the TV Camera above the canopy to peer over the trees at the road in the valley.

Auto-Hover engaged, TV Camera stabilised & weapons armed, the gunner can now aim the TV camera at the target, visible just below and to the left of the cross in the centre of the display.

Safety off, weapon away. First shot was a miss, aimed too low. (First time I'd tried hitting a moving target)

Missile 3 was a miss, Missile 4 was a hit just below the truck on the bridge, but the blast was enough to start a fire and disable the lead vehicle in the convoy, blocking off the bridge.

The Gazelle is great fun - TV camera makes sighting targets and aiming very easy... the hard part is when they fire back...
