Probably not a massive surprise but sad to see it all the same.

57 (R) Sqn will move to RAF Cranwell In the summer of 2013 and Cambridge University Air Squadron (CUAS), University of London Air Squadron (ULAS) and Number 5 Air Experience Flight (No. 5 AEF) will move to RAF Wittering in 2014. The Helimed service will stay for at least another 8 years and should not be affected by the closure. RAF Wyton will not fully close though as it is still an major Intelligence hub.
Cheers! Jamie

wyton really closed when the canberras left,as for the tutors buzzing around, its no big loss.if it was chipmunks and bulldogs i might shed a tear.

RAF wyton reopened brand new grass runway running parallel to old main runway but only for the local flying club there.
